I rarely take the time to go binge another tv show after watching a series that I consider to be the best I have ever watched,

And that is usually attributed to two factors, one, being the fear that my next choice could disappoint me in terms of thrill because I want to move from a better story to the best, not average.

Another reason is that, I usually just don't have my hands on the best series, as I always watch them one show at a time, and only move to hunting the next blockbuster after I have finished watching the one I was on.

I have watched a good number of shows reaching up to this point, and, the list includes, Game of thrones, Vikings, The last kingdom, Merlin, The legend of the seeker, and many others, a list that needs its own dedicated article.

The Shannara Chronicles is a chatgpt recommendation that I got after I prompted it with my recent watch history, and I was initially skeptical, to be honest.

But as I started Season 1, I immediately knew I was going to stay 😂🔥.

What I like about The Shannara Chronicles is that it introduces uncertainty from the word go, and from episode to episode, we see the scales shift, the odds move against the protagonists in real time, cursing all our hopes into critical disarray.

Every scene, every episode is written in such a way that you can't possibly predict the next scene, or outcome, and this is why I started this article with a bold declaration.

This is almost the same style that George R. Martin uses as he writes The Game of Thrones, killing actors who we think are main actors, and increasing the temperature of the show with each passing second.

As I am writing this, I am currently watching season 1, episode 8 of The Shannara Chronicles, and damnit...

I hope this one doesn't come to a conclusion.

And PS, I usually have a crush on characters in shows like this, and in this one, I actually don't have a crush, partly because Amberle and Eritrea are kinda both in love with one guy, and I just want him to love them both...
